Samsung Hennessy is a two-faced Android flip phone
Don't flip out, but the flip phone is back: Samsung has officially unveiled the Samsung SCH-W789 Hennessy, an Android-powered flip phone sporting not one but two touchscreens.
The first 3.3-inch, 320x480-pixel screen is on the outside, and when you flip it open there's a second identical display and traditional numeric keypad.
True, in other parts of the world the flip phone never really went away. But since the iPhonecame along, in these parts the slab-like touchscreen phone has become so dominant that anything else looks decidedly old-school.
There's nothing old-school about the Hennessy's specs, however. It boasts a 1.2GHz quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM, a 5-megapixel camera and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean software.
The Hennessy is heading for China and seems unlikely to come to Europe -- Samsung's Android phones are all called Galaxy here. But is there life in the flip phone yet? Would you like to see more variety in smart phone design? Tell me your thoughts in the comments
